About Rene
I specialize in conversational Afrikaans. Ons gaan lekker gesels! I am approachable, friendly, kind, and very patient. I just love chatting and listening to people. As a young girl growing up in an Afrikaans home, I had to quickly learn to speak English before starting school and know all about making silly mistakes. Some were comical while others were rather embarrassing but I graduated with honors in both languages. Even though my lessons are informal and relaxed, we will still be working towards that goal that you want to achieve.

Our lessons will be informal, with conversations about everyday situations and any topics that might interest you. I will help you with pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, idioms & phrases even local slang! It's okay to make mistakes, together we will work through and correct them. I will tailor my classes toward what works well for you and your needs.
