About Elena

I’m passionate about helping students build confidence in their learning and reach their full potential. I decided to tutor because I know how much of a difference it can make to have someone explain a topic in a clear, patient way and at your own pace. For me, tutoring is about more than just teaching the content, it’s about creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving. I want to share my enthusiasm for maths with my students while helping them develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed.

About the lesson

I believe Maths is much easier when you understand why you’re doing something, rather than simply memorising formulae. My lessons are tailored to each student’s ability, learning style and goals, whether you’re looking to build confidence, catch up on topics or prepare for exams.

Lessons are relaxed, supportive and focused on understanding. We’ll break topics down into manageable steps, work through examples together, and then practise GCSE-style questions. I’ll help you understand your mistakes rather than simply giving you the correct answer, so you can approach similar questions confidently on your own.

I’ll adapt the pace and explanations to suit you, focusing on the areas where you can make the most progress. My aim is to make Maths feel clearer, less stressful and more achievable, while helping you work towards your target grade.

I can’t recommend Elena enough, she got me from getting grade 6s in business to getting a 9 in my actual GCSE!
What made the biggest difference was the way she explained topics in an easy and understandable way. She made the lessons fun in a way that I actually started looking forward to them!
