About Marco
I studied 3 years at the academy Vivarium Novum, in Italy, where I spoke and attended lessons held exclusively in Latin and ancient Greek on a daily basis. There I taught Latin II and Latin poetry during the academic year, as well as intensive summer courses of Latin I, ancient Greek I, lyric Greek poetry, and Vergil. Besides this, for the last 12 years I've built experience as a teacher in such diverse fields as mathematics and piano, with students of all ages and backgrounds. In this way I've learned how to be clear, how to explain a single concept in many different ways, how to properly exercise students after having acquired the theory, and have become patient, sympathetic and truly loving of this profession.

Reading with ease and joy in Latin just like we do in our modern languages, without the slavery of grammar books and dictionaries, has been possible before and still is today.
Using Latin already from the first lesson, and through a comprehensive method that merges extensive reading of prose and poetry together with written and oral exercises, in a short time the language of Rome and all of the Western world becomes alive, giving us the key to listen and speak directly to the writers who built our culture.
The lessons are suitable both for those who have never studied Latin before, as well as those who already know the grammar and are eager to transform this passive knowledge into the ability of conversing with the ancients.
In this times of crisis, when many people have forgotten what does it really mean to be human, the direct dialogue with the ancients becomes more necessary than ever.
