About Aurora

ENGLISH: I am Italian but grew up in the UK, so I was lucky enough to experience an easier transition when acting in English. Because of this I want to help anyone that has or is having a harder time overcoming that transition, especially considering the amount of nuance included in acting in English that will not be the same as acting in Italian. I want to offer you the best chance you could have by allowing yourself to be more confident in your skills when in the audition room and the rehearsal room.

About the lesson

ENGLISH: I am an East15 BA acting and Fight Performance Graduate, and I can help you adapt your skills to successfully perform in English. I know how tricky it can be having to act in a second or even a foreign language, so through the use of my TEFL Level 5 diploma, I can also further provide you with tailored English language lessons to give you the best chance. We can use films/series you like to do translation exercises, use as accent models and keeping the theme of the lessons on what we both love doing most: acting. My hour-long lessons will be based around any piece (monologue/ scene) you are currently working on, or any piece you would like to start using. We will focus on improving your pronunciation and in some cases, accent reduction: it all depends on what you need.

Aurora is a very patient teacher. Her passion to help her students and make sure they understand everything she teaches, comes through as soon as you meet her. I think this is because of her deep interest in the grammar of the language and making sure the student sounds as native as possible. Studing with her definitely allows you to become better at language learning.

Aurora has helped me a lot with my English. When I moved to the UK I had little to no knowledge of the language, but thanks to her advice and constant practice-led lessons, I learnt how to speak fluently; I was able to really immerse myself in the logic of the language. Haven’t looked back since.
