About CT
I come from a Chinese primary school and Chinese Independent School background where most of my peers are Chinese, which leads to them not really having the need to pick up English for daily conversational use. While many of them do attempt tutoring or tuition, but I've seen even the people who get an A1 in our standardised exams struggling with English when they need to ask basic questions, or just use it in work places. Many of them are also academic overachievers, but struggle at a college level simply because the switch in language suddenly becomes very impossible for them.
Most approaches to private tutoring in English in Malaysia places a heavy focus on exam based methods, which leads to many people who have managed to score well in the exams still struggling with basic English usage in their daily lives.
I am neither experienced nor professionally qualified, which is why my approach is more of a way that guides you towards resources as well as what you can do for yourself, in order to be able to navigate a language that is not a strength of yours but one that you need.

Rather than rigid ways of memorising grammar and the like, I would like to share my experience of English that has led me to become comfortablewith the language despite not being a native speaker.
Lessons are tentatively 30 - 45 minutes per session, once a week. I do not have any formal tutoring experience, and would be flexible to work with what the candidate needs. My lessons are targetted at people aged 13 - 18, for either exam purposes, or simply people who would like to improve their English abilities.
