• I prepare tailored materials—e.g., prompts, past papers, sample texts, or vocabulary sheets
Start of lesson (5–10 mins)
• A warm-up discussion or short exercise to activate prior knowledge
• Quick review of previous feedback or homework to reinforce learning
Core of the lesson (30–35 mins)
• Focused work on a specific skill (e.g., thesis writing, paragraph structure, literary analysis, or oral fluency)
• Guided walkthroughs of texts or past paper questions
• Student-led discussion and practice with real-time feedback
• Techniques to plan essays, brainstorm ideas, and avoid common pitfalls
End of lesson (10–15 mins)
• Recap of key takeaways and clarification of tricky concepts
• Actionable feedback and a mini task or reading to reinforce learning
