About Erin

Below is the breakdown of what I can tutor: History (Edexcel), A Level and below - subtopics include: the entire history of the USSR, GDR, Cold War tensions, Nazi Germany, Tudor rebellions and government, 1066 William the Conqueror. English Language (AQA), GCSE and below. English Literature (AQA), GCSE and below. Chemistry (AQA), GCSE and below. Biology (AQA), GCSE and below. LNAT (Law National Aptitude Test for university admissions). Personal statement tutoring (university admissions). EPQ (Extended Project Qualification). My lessons are specifically designed for each individual student. This considers the level they are currently working at, target grade, their areas for development and preferred learning style. I use scientifically-backed techniques such as active recall in my 'Spaced Retrieval' exercises to strengthen long-term memory to ensure the student is prepared for the exam, yet also develops life-long skills. Alongside this, application questions and knowledge recall feature heavily in my lessons, to the student's request. I am happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. I aspire to deliver success for all

About the lesson

I’m a highly experienced tutor who has worked with primary school up to A Level students, including SEND. I specialise in History, English Language & Literature and Science (Biology, Chemistry), with exam-board-specific knowledge enabling students to achieve the top grades. I’m approachable and empathetic, which ensures that my students gain excellent results through building an exceptional professional relationship. I have a track record of delivering successful results through online private tutoring and at classroom level. I have significant experience at levels from KS2, KS3, GCSE & A-LEVEL - each student leaves my lessons feeling accomplished and one step closer to achieving their individual goals. I can teach History up to A-level and the rest of my subjects up to GCSE.
