About Keya
I am a first year Law student at the University of Warwick with a passion for English and I would love to share my enjoyment of the subject with students who are willing to try and develop their skills. As someone who experienced the rigorous 11+ process myself and was successful, I am capable of creating a balance between hard work and enjoyable learning. My English GCSE solidified my love for English and inspired me to take it for A-level and I hope to share this with my tutee.

For GCSE level students, I like to use a range of techniques for English Literature such as conceptual and thematic mind maps, quote banks and essay question planning. For English Language I use practice papers to develop comprehension skills as well as creative writing exercises to enhance innovation. For 11+ students, I like to focus primarily on past papers but also like to include grammar exercises and writing tasks.
I attended the Tiffin Girls' School and have previously tutored primary school children in Literacy and lower-secondary school children in English Literature.
A typical lesson normally lasts between 45 mins - 1 hour, however I am very flexible with how my tutees work and aim to prioritise the method in which they learn best.
