About Caroline
As an educator, it is my responsibility to create an environment that allows a group of students with diverse learning styles to maximize their potential in returning the information and apply it to real world and life situations. I do this by incorporating time for students to engage in hands-on exercises, actively participating in small group discussion, and interacting on a one on one basis with me during class. I also try to incorporate outside materials such as research or news articles, and demonstrations.
Learning as a lifelong commitment.
I believe that life-long learning occurs when students can connect to the information presented. I strive to create a personal connection with the students in my classes by incorporating my research and lifelong experiences into my lectures. I feel that these conversations help the students connect with me on a personal level and as a result, become more engaged in the classroom. I also try to learn about individual students so I can tailor course material to the students. I also attempt to demonstrate the real –world applicability of the topics that we are discussing. Talking about and giving real life examples allowed the students to critically analyze information about the subject matter and how it relates to real life situations. I strive to create an environment where students actively participate in the educational process.

I have a Masters in Criminal justice and have almost completed my second master in Emergency management and Homeland Security. I also have a teaching certificate. I have over three years of teaching experience abroad. Presently I am teaching an online course with the Police academy in Cameroon on crime scene investigation.
It is my objectives to combine the range of my experience along with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic instructor aimed at making a positive contribution to your department and your institution.
