About Upasana

I am a lawyer with a master’s in public policy and an honors degree in liberal arts, specializing in economics, political science and international relations. Alongside my academic training, I have worked directly with students through volunteer teaching and on-ground education projects in underserved communities. These experiences helped me understand how differently young people learn, what support they respond to, and how the right guidance can completely change their confidence in a subject. I teach because I believe that strong foundations in the humanities help students become thoughtful, informed and curious individuals. Many learners struggle not because the subjects are difficult, but because they need clearer explanations, relatable examples and patient guidance. My aim is to make these subjects accessible and engaging by breaking down complex ideas into simple, understandable lessons. I create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas and building confidence. With a blend of academic expertise, real-world experience and genuine care for student growth, I help learners strengthen their understanding and develop skills that benefit them in school, university and beyond.

About the lesson

I tailor every lesson to the student’s level, whether they are just starting out or already confident and looking to deepen their understanding. Each class is 60 minutes and combines simple explanations, step-by-step guidance, real examples and short activities to help the student stay engaged and build confidence. I also use age-appropriate readings, stories and basic academic concepts so students understand ideas clearly before we discuss them together. Once the main topic is explained, we have an open conversation to help students think independently and strengthen what they’ve learned. I am a lawyer with a master’s degree in public policy and an honors degree in economics, political science and international relations. This background allows me to explain complex topics in a clear, easy and friendly way for school and university learners. My lessons are suitable for high-school students, undergraduates and anyone who needs support in political science, public policy, international relations, governance, economics or other humanities subjects. I also help with exam preparation, homework, essays and coursework.
