About Amber

I am a patient and gentle piano teacher who enjoys supporting students as they learn at their own pace. I hold a Diploma in Piano Teaching from the London College of Music (LCM), and I have many years of experience playing and accompanying in churches. These experiences have helped me develop a calm and steady teaching style that works well for beginners and returning learners.

I understand that starting piano can feel challenging, so I focus on creating a comfortable and encouraging environment. I take care in my explanations, communication, and lesson planning to ensure students feel supported rather than pressured. My goal is simply to help each learner grow with confidence, one step at a time.

I am committed to being reliable, respectful, and thoughtful in every lesson, so students and parents can trust that they are receiving consistent guidance throughout their musical journey.

About the lesson

- Teaching Methodology:
I originally taught using the London College of Music (LCM) syllabus, which focuses on strong foundational technique, clear progression, and musical expression. I still use these methods for beginners, but I also adapt my lessons to Australian learning styles and expectations, making the classes flexible and suitable for students in Adelaide. My approach combines demonstration, repetition, simple explanations, and patient guidance. For students who have learned before, I offer supportive coaching to help them continue their piano journey with confidence.
- Lesson length: A typical lesson is 45–60 minutes, depending on the student’s age, focus level, and learning needs.
- Qualifications and experience:
I hold a Diploma in Piano Teaching from the London College of Music (LCM) and have 14 years of experience playing and accompanying in multiple Catholic churches in Vietnam. I have experience teaching beginners and supporting continuing learners who want to improve their technique and confidence.-
