About Eli
Hi, I’m Eli — an acoustic guitarist, songwriter, and performer with a lifelong love for music inspired by John Denver when I was just five.
I draw inspiration from legends like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, and Garth Brooks, bringing that same warmth and storytelling spirit into my lessons.
My teaching style is simple, natural, and rewarding — music doesn’t need to be complicated, it just needs to be felt.
I’m also an active performer, playing in three bands, writing original songs, and preparing to release two singles and an album.
Beyond performing, I help with the SaxaVord Sessions podcast in Shetland, working on sound, setup, and occasionally performing. I’m also mentored by incredible well liked musicians, guidance keeps inspiring me.
Whether you’re a beginner or rediscovering your passion for guitar, I’ll help you find your sound and enjoy the journey.

I’m a passionate musician and dedicated guitar tutor offering engaging, personalised acoustic guitar lessons for all levels.
My Approach
Learning guitar should be fun, inspiring, and practical. Every student is unique, so I tailor each lesson to your goals — whether that’s learning favourite songs, improving technique, or understanding music theory.
My lessons combine hands-on playing, ear training, rhythm work, and creative exercises, helping you build confidence, musical expression, and a true understanding of how music works.
️ Lesson Structure
A standard session lasts 60 minutes, covering warm-ups, new material, and guided practice. Shorter or longer lessons are available on request.

I’m an experienced acoustic guitarist and performing musician, teaching styles from folk, pop, and rock to fingerstyle and contemporary acoustic. My approach keeps lessons structured, enjoyable, and results-driven for students of all ages.

My rate is £12 per hour for individual lessons online. I also offer discounted packages — 5 hours for £60 and 10 hours for £120.
There’s no travel fee, and your first lesson is free so we can discuss your goals and plan the best way forward.
