About Andrew J

I enjoy connecting with people and nature. I'm a friendly and easy going and have lived in many different cultures. In my classes, you can be who you are and don't have to perform or meet any requirements. It is a personal practice.

I have previously worked in maternal health overseas, in mental health, in addiction and also in education.

I came to Qigong relatively recently and its been transformative. I did a 5 day immersion initially and the two further 3 day immersions before spending 2 months in a Shaolin School practicing Qigong and TaiChi everyday. Such is my enthusiasm for it, I have found myself teaching friends and colleagues on a frequent basis. I feel that that such is my belief in the simple practices that teaching them and transmitting what I know in a beneficial way has come quite naturally to me.

I will start with the most basic and intuitive moves - which despite their simpleness - are still incredibly powerful.

Please give Qigong a go.

About the lesson

Typically ONE HOUR lessons. Easy going pace.
Optimally standing; though seated also possible if standing not possible.
Cool loose clothing preferable but qigong can be practiced in any clothing and in any environment, temperature or setting.
The Qigong forms we will use will be Shi Ba Shi (18 movements) or from 5 Elements Qigong, which are accessible to everyone.

QiGong changed my life.
What it did for me was give me a calmness and centredness that I hadn't experienced before in decades of yoga, pilates, breathworks and various sports. I felt more like myself; a good version of myself. I felt an inner security.

It basically involves gentle slow movements with the breath.

Andrew and I met in Bali back in 2019 and we hit off immediately. What I really appreciate most about Andrew is his depth and sincerity. I started practicing Qi Gong with him a few months ago. Having no experience I didn't know what to expect. Andrew made learning this new technique really pleasant and easy. Having morning Qi Gong practice on his balcony overlooking Mt. Agung has been one of favorite Bali experiences. I look forward to many more practices with Andrew! I'm definitely hooked!:)
