Novices & Beginners (Under 1000 Online / Unrated)
Goal: Eliminate one-move blunders and establish board control.
Diagnosing Games: Pinpointing why pieces are getting hung and fixing basic board vision habits.
Opening Principles: Learning solid, universal setups (control center, develop minor pieces, castle early) without memorizing theory.
Basic Calculation: Practicing checks, captures, and threats to catch free pieces and avoid easy traps.
Checkmating Mechanics: Drilling clean checkmate patterns (ladder mates, king + queen, king + rook) so won games are closed out quickly.
Club & Intermediate Players (1000 – 1400 Online)
Goal: Build tactical consistency and purposeful middlegame planning.
Deep Game Reviews: Finding recurring decision-making leaks, missed opponent threats, and wasted tempi.
Tactical Patterns: Drilling forks, pins, skewers, discovered attacks, and deflection tactics to spot 2-to-3-move combinations reliably.
Structured Opening Plan: Establishing a compact, reliable opening repertoire with white and black centered on clear plans rather than rote lines.
Finding a Plan: Learning how to identify undefended pieces, weak pawns, and open files when the position gets quiet.
Level 3: Advanced Improvers (1400 – 2000+ Online)
Goal: Sharpen concrete calculation, dynamic attacking play, and positional transitions.
Critical Moment Analysis: Auditing high-pressure positions from your games to refine candidate-move discipline and time management.
Positional Understanding: Targeting outposts, creating and breaking pawn structures, piece coordination, and exploiting color complexes.
Pawn & Piece Endgames: Mastering fundamental practical endgames (rook activity, king opposition, creating passed pawns).
