About Lukas

Hi! I’m Lukas, a Chinese language teacher and founder of Mandarin.lt, dedicated to making Mandarin accessible, logical, and genuinely enjoyable for European learners.

Unlike many traditional teachers, I am not a native Chinese speaker — and that is exactly what makes my teaching exceptionally effective. I have personally gone through the entire journey of learning Chinese as a foreign language: the confusion, the plateaus, the breakthroughs, and the strategies that truly work. Because of this, I understand precisely where students struggle and how to guide them past those obstacles quickly and confidently.

I am fluent in English, Lithuanian, and Mandarin Chinese, and also speak Spanish, which allows me to explain complex concepts from multiple linguistic perspectives. My multilingual background helps students grasp tones, grammar structures, and cultural nuances in ways that feel clear rather than overwhelming.

Over the years, I have worked with students of all ages and goals — from absolute beginners discovering Chinese for the first time to professionals preparing for international careers, university studies, relocation to China, or official language exams.
