About Naomi

Hello! I'm a creative professional with a background in graphic design, digital art, and everyday computer use.

I've gained informal experience helping others learn, and I enjoy making computer skills easier to understand. I understand that using a computer for the first time can feel intimidating, so I aim to create a friendly, patient, and comfortable learning environment.

I welcome learners of all ages, from children discovering computers for the first time to adults and elderly people who want to become more confident with technology.

Whether you're learning for school, work, personal development, or simply to explore something new, I'm happy to guide you step by step.

You don't need previous computer experience to get started. My goal is to help you develop practical skills, gain confidence, and become more independent when using a computer.

About the lesson

Computer Literacy for Everyone: From Beginners to Everyday Computer Users

My lessons are designed for children, teenagers, adults, and elderly learners who want to understand computers and use them confidently.

Whether you're starting from scratch or simply want to improve your existing skills, we'll work at a pace that suits your needs and learning goals.
===

What you can learn:

- Computer fundamentals: Understanding computer components, their functions, and basic operations.
- Keyboard and mouse skills: Learning how to navigate a computer, use menus, and interact with different applications.
- Files and folders: Creating, saving, locating, organising, and managing files.
- Microsoft Word: Learning to type, edit, format, and organise documents.
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Creating simple presentations, adding text and images, and arranging slides.
- Microsoft Excel: Understanding spreadsheets, entering data, formatting cells, and learning basic formulas.
- Internet basics: Browsing websites, searching for information, and navigating the internet.
- Email and digital communication: Learning how to send, receive, and organise emails.

My teaching approach

I believe learning should be practical, patient, and easy to follow. I break lessons into manageable steps, demonstrate tasks, and allow students time to practise what they've learned.

Lessons are adapted to each student's age, current skill level, and goals. For children, the focus can be on building familiarity and confidence with computers. For adults and elderly learners, we can concentrate on everyday tasks, workplace basics, or personal digital skills.

Lesson format and requirements

I offer both online and in-person lessons. Students are expected to provide their own computer for practice. Before starting, we'll discuss your learning goals and current experience so that we can make the most of each lesson.

Your first one-hour lesson is free. It's an opportunity for us to get acquainted, identify what you'd like to learn, and establish a suitable learning plan.

Let's take the first step towards making computers easier and more enjoyable to use!
