About TeaTa'
Hi, I’m LaHoodie! I enjoy creating handmade crochet pieces and helping beginners discover that crochet is something they really can learn.
I understand how frustrating it can feel when you are watching tutorials, rewinding the same five seconds over and over, and still wondering where the hook is supposed to go. My teaching style is patient, conversational, encouraging, and hands-on.
I especially enjoy working with absolute beginners — including people who have never held a crochet hook before.
My goal is not to make you memorize everything in one lesson. I want you to understand what you are doing, practice it with me, ask as many questions as you need, and leave each lesson feeling more confident than when you started.
Whether your goal is to enjoy a relaxing new hobby, create handmade gifts, make accessories, or eventually complete your own crochet projects, I would love to help you get started.

My crochet lessons are designed especially for beginners who want patient, step-by-step instruction without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
We will start with the basics and build your skills one stitch at a time. Depending on your experience level, lessons may include learning how to hold your crochet hook and yarn, making a slip knot, creating a foundation chain, single crochet, turning your work, counting stitches, understanding basic crochet terminology, and beginning a simple project.
I believe learning crochet should be enjoyable, relaxing, and creative. If something does not make sense the first time, that is completely okay — we can slow down, try it another way, and practice together.
Lessons can also be customized if you already know the basics but need help with a particular stitch, pattern, or project.
**Regular lesson rate: $25 per hour**
New students can begin with Superprof's required complimentary first session, which I use to learn about your goals, see where you are in your crochet journey, and help you get comfortable before we begin regular lessons.
