About Nitin
Luckily, I have two professions; I am an architect during the day and a musician later. Possibly this is the reason why I like to teach in a structural method, and I love to see progress in my students. Djembe is a drum that plays an important role in the expression of folk music of West Africa. Being folk, it carries a history and a culture with it. In our times, djembe is played in various forms of music and is also vastly popular as a stress buster. Our classes will cover traditional as well as contemporary playing styles. Classes will primarily include exercises, music notations, traditional and contemporary rhythms.

The idea is to teach the concept behind rhythms and to experience the heart or the feel of rhythms. If you understand the concept of how the rhythms work, composing rhythms will be one of the most fun things you've come across. And fortunately, it's easy. I also emphasize reading and writing music notations (Western style), as it can enable a student to learn from other sources as well if a teacher is not available. Well, there are various other advantages.
