Want to learn Electrical Design but don’t know where to start?
I’ll teach you step by step - from the basics to professional level skills, so you can confidently use the same tools and methods engineers use in real projects.

What you’ll learn with me:

Revit & AutoCAD – how to design electrical layouts
Dialux & AGI32 – professional lighting design & lux calculations
ETAP – power system analysis & fault studies
Load Calculations & Cable Sizing – the foundation of safe design
Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) & Schematics – how projects are actually built

Why learn from me?
13 years of real industry experience in data centers, buildings & industrial projects
I make complex topics simple and beginner-friendly
Learn by doing: software + real project methods
Lessons tailored to your level – whether you’re a beginner, student, or young professional

By the end, you won’t just know the theory — you’ll be able to design, calculate, and use the tools like a pro.

  • 1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

My interest in electrical engineering started early, during school, when I realised I enjoyed understanding how systems work rather than memorising answers. That curiosity carried through university and into my professional career, where I’ve spent over 12 years working on real projects across India, the UK, the USA, the Middle East, and Australia.

Private tutoring came naturally later. As I gained industry experience, I noticed a big gap between what students learn academically and what is actually expected in professional electrical design roles. Teaching became a way for me to help bridge that gap and make learning more practical and industry-focused.
  • 2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).

I teach electrical design and electrical engineering, with a strong emphasis on real-world application. My lessons cover tools and workflows that engineers actually use — such as Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Dialux, AGI32, ETAP, load calculations, cable sizing, lighting design, and single line diagrams.

I particularly enjoy teaching design logic and engineering judgement — understanding why something is done, not just how. What I enjoy less is purely theoretical learning with no practical relevance. Whenever possible, I connect theory back to real projects and real decisions engineers make.
  • 3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes, I’ve had a few teachers and senior engineers who influenced me greatly. The ones who stood out were those who encouraged questioning and logical thinking instead of rote learning. Later in my career, experienced lead engineers became role models by demonstrating that good engineering is often about simplicity, clarity, and responsibility — not complexity for its own sake.
  • 4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor needs patience, clarity, and strong communication skills. More importantly, they need to understand where the student is starting from. Not everyone struggles for the same reason. Being able to explain the same concept in multiple ways and adapt to the student’s level is critical. Honesty also matters — telling students what really matters in industry and what doesn’t.
  • 5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

Early in my career, I once worked on a design that was technically correct but impractical to install on site. That experience taught me an important lesson: engineering is not just about calculations — it’s about buildability, safety, and clarity. This lesson now shapes how I teach students, helping them think beyond textbooks and into real-world execution.
  • 6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

One ongoing challenge is that electrical engineering constantly evolves — standards change, tools improve, and project expectations increase. Keeping skills current requires continuous learning. Another challenge is that many students feel overwhelmed by software and calculations at first. My role is to simplify that learning curve and build confidence step by step.
  • 7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?

My passion lies in practical engineering education — especially helping students and young professionals transition from theory to real-world work. I enjoy teaching design thinking, problem-solving, and professional workflows rather than isolated concepts. Seeing someone gain confidence and independence in their skills is extremely rewarding.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions)?

What sets me apart is my real industry experience combined with a structured teaching approach. I don’t just teach software or formulas — I teach how engineers actually work on live projects. Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals, whether they are beginners, students, or early-career professionals. I’m invested in helping students become competent, confident, and industry-ready.
