About Tim
Hi, I'm Tim, a UK-based business executive and native English speaker with 18 years of senior leadership experience building companies and leading teams across Europe, Africa, and the United States.
I have worked at CPO and VP level across climate tech, SaaS, and ecommerce, contributed to securing $33 million in Series C funding, and spent two years as a formal mentor on the entrepreneurship programme at the University of Cape Town's Graduate School of Business. I hold an Executive MBA from UCT and have spent my entire career collaborating with international teams, giving me a deep, practical understanding of what effective business communication looks like across cultures and contexts.
Outside of work, I am passionate about sustainability, technology, and I am currently building my own app, so I know exactly what it feels like to be a learner again.
I believe that clear communication and entrepreneurial thinking are two of the most valuable skills anyone can develop. I would love to help you develop both.

My sessions are conversational, practical, and tailored to you. I don't do one-size-fits-all lesson plans or textbook exercises for the sake of it. Whether we're working on your business English or your entrepreneurial thinking, I start by understanding where you are, where you want to get to, and what's getting in the way. From there, every session is built around that.
For business English, my focus is on real-world fluency, the kind you actually need in meetings, presentations, negotiations, and written communication. We might work through a piece of writing you've produced, rehearse a pitch or a difficult conversation, or tackle the specific vocabulary and phrasing that trips you up in professional settings. I've spent my career working with international teams across Europe, Africa, and the US, so I understand the nuances that matter in a business context and can help you sound not just correct, but natural and confident.
For entrepreneurship and business, sessions tend to feel more like a structured mentoring conversation than a traditional lesson. We'll dig into your idea, your business model, your pitch, or whatever challenge you're facing, and I'll share honest, experience-backed perspective drawn from 18+ years operating at CPO and VP level across startups and scale-ups.
Typical lesson length: 60 minutes, though 90-minute sessions are available for deeper dives.
