About Lila
I am a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Master of Arts in French Linguistics in International Studies. My teaching blends language learning with global cultural awareness, helping students see French as more than just words. I incorporate current events, intercultural dialogues, and media from Francophone countries into every lesson. This approach makes learning relevant, engaging, and connected to the real world. I have worked with globally-minded students and professionals seeking to expand their horizons. My lessons focus on communication, comprehension, and cultural nuance, preparing learners for both personal and professional contexts. I use articles, videos, podcasts, and news stories to spark discussion and critical thinking. Students gain confidence in speaking, writing, listening, and understanding cultural references. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced learner, I tailor lessons to your goals and interests. I encourage curiosity, exploration, and active participation in class. My goal is to make learning French an enriching and dynamic experience. Together, we explore the language while connecting to the broader Francophone world. Learning French is more than studying a language—it’s a tool for connecting with people, ideas, and cultures across the globe.

My French teaching approach focuses on making the language simple, engaging, and practical. I combine structured lessons with interactive activities to build confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Lessons include listening comprehension exercises, guided practice in verb conjugation, and understanding everyday expressions. I also introduce slang, idiomatic phrases, and cultural nuances to help learners communicate naturally. For those preparing to travel, I provide practical language skills for real-life situations. Beginners start with essential vocabulary and simple sentence structures, while intermediate learners expand their skills with dialogues, storytelling, and conversation practice. I use role-play, games, and multimedia tools to make learning enjoyable and memorable. I encourage students to practice regularly and provide clear explanations tailored to their pace. I support learners in overcoming challenges and celebrate every achievement. Whether learning for daily life, work, or hobbies, students feel motivated and empowered. My goal is to help them gain fluency, confidence, and a true appreciation for the French language.
