About Julia

My name is Julia, I am 22 years old. I discovered my passion for teaching while helping my younger brother with his French homework—seeing a child improve and gain confidence is a satisfaction like no other.

I have been supporting children in French since the age of 15, and I also learn oral communication at the Cours Florent in Montpellier, a well-known drama school. This experience allows me to approach French differently: beyond grammar and spelling.

I adapt each lesson to the student’s profile and needs, whether it’s academic support, exam preparation, or learning French as a second language.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is based on communication, simplicity, and confidence-building. I believe that the best way to learn a language is by actively using it, so I encourage my students to speak from the very beginning, even at a basic level.

I use a mix of conversation, practical exercises, and structured grammar explanations adapted to each student’s needs. I focus on real-life situations (travel, work, daily conversations) to make learning useful and engaging. I also correct mistakes in a supportive way to help students improve without feeling stressed.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes speaking practice, vocabulary building, and clear explanations of key grammar points. I always adapt the lesson pace and content depending on the student’s level and goals.

I currently teach beginners and intermediate learners (A1 to B1), and I am comfortable working with teenagers and adults. Even though I may not have formal teaching qualifications yet, I am motivated, patient, and dedicated to helping my students progress effectively.

My goal is to create a relaxed and positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident speaking French.

Julia has been extremely supportive, honest, and of course incredibly helpful in improving my French. Her adaptive and easy-going nature makes every conversation comfortable and enjoyable, yet she is also able to provide thoughtful feedback and address serious points when needed, especially for prononciation, or to add a fun idiomatic expression!! I have greatly appreciated her guidance throughout my journey and am always looking forward to our next lessons.

Julia is a fantastic teacher. She is friendly, always by your side, but also gives you some space to improve yourself. Has great methods to make learning even more cool. We have been practicing for a while and I can already tell how my skills have improved, all thanks to her.
