About Sara

Hello! My name is Sara, and I come from a small town near Milan in northern Italy. I love to travel, and you will often find me in a different country—maybe yours, who knows! :) I have lived in Australia, London, and Spain, and these experiences have enriched my understanding, allowing me to easily explain not only the Italian language but also cultural differences and idiomatic expressions. I have also learned, and continue to improve, in foreign languages, so I understand the difficulties one might encounter and know the most effective learning methods. I am passionate about teaching people of all ages and from all cultures. I also love nature, art, personal development, mindfulness, and watching movies and TV series. And, of course, like any good Italian, I love good food and good wine.

Learning a new language isn’t just about studying grammar — it’s about communicating from the very beginning. My lessons are designed to help you start speaking and understanding Italian in a relaxed, practical and enjoyable way.

Since I’ve learned a second language myself, I understand how challenging it can feel to start from scratch. Making mistakes is a natural part of learning, and I’ll help you build confidence step by step.

# Personalized Italian Lessons

If you prefer a flexible approach, we can simply focus on what you need and progress at your own pace.

Depending on your goals, we can work on:

* Conversation & fluency
* Grammar & vocabulary
* Pronunciation & listening
* Reading & writing
* Everyday Italian
* Travel & Italian culture
* Business Italian
* Italian for heritage learners

Every lesson is adapted to your level, interests and goals. We can use conversations, texts, videos, songs, exercises, real-life situations and other materials to make your Italian practical and engaging.

# Structured Program: Italian for Travel

If you prefer to follow a clear program, I also offer a **12-lesson Italian for Travel program**.

The first 4 lessons focus on building the basic Italian you need to start communicating (if you're starting from zero). We then move into practical travel situations such as:

* Restaurants, cafés and ordering food
* Hotels and accommodation
* Transportation and getting around
* Asking for directions
* Shopping and payments
* Reservations and phone calls
* Dealing with common travel situations
* Final review and practical conversation

The program can be adapted as we go, depending on your level and what you need most. If you will need some extra lessons, we can just add them up as we go.

# Structured Program: Italian for Living in Italy

Planning to move to Italy or spend an extended period there? This **12-lesson program** focuses on the Italian you need for everyday life.

After the initial foundations, we can work on situations such as:

* Home and daily life
* Shopping and supermarkets
* Restaurants and cafés
* Getting around the city
* Appointments and phone calls
* Health and pharmacies
* Banks and everyday services
* Social situations and everyday conversations
* Handling common problems
* Final practical review

The program is flexible and can be adjusted depending on your goals and real-life needs.

# Your first lesson

Your first lesson is free! We’ll get to know each other, talk about your goals and assess your Italian level. From there, we’ll decide together whether personalized lessons or a structured program is the best fit for you.

My goal is to make Italian useful, enjoyable and something you feel confident using in real life.

I can’t wait to start this journey with you — let’s speak Italian together!

  • 1) Do you speak this language fluently because of your origins or because a teacher inspired you to learn?

    I speak Italian fluently because it is my native language and I grew up using it every day.
  • 2) Can you name a living, historical or fictional character that you think is the emblematic representative of the language's culture?

    For me, Dante Alighieri represents Italian culture because he shaped the language with his poetry.
  • 3) Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?

    I love the tradition of the long Italian family lunch on Sundays, with everyone talking, laughing and sharing homemade dishes.
    I also like the Italian word “magari”, because it expresses hope, desire and possibility all in one word—something very unique.
  • 4) Why does speaking this language matter to you?

    Because Italian is part of who I am, and teaching it allows me to share my culture and connect with people from all over the world.
  • 5) What is the main difficulty in learning this language and what can help the process of learning?

    The main difficulty is mastering verb conjugations and grammar structures. What helps is regular practice, listening to native speakers, and learning in context and practicing.
  • 6) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your language learning or your days at school.

    In high school, we had a language exchange with students from another country. Explaining my Italian expressions to them made me realise how rich and nuanced my language is. Later, visiting them in their country helped me understand their culture, habits and way of thinking. Those experiences taught me that language is deeply connected to culture — and that real conversations are one of the best ways to learn.
  • 7) How has travel or a specific trip helped you to increase your skill and knowledge of the language?

    Living in different countries and learning new languages gave me a completely new perspective. It helped me understand what students go through when they start from zero, and it showed me how Italian differs from other languages in structure and rhythm. Thanks to these experiences, I can explain Italian more clearly and guide students with empathy and practical tips.
  • 8) What makes you a Superprof in language?

    I’m patient, clear, and passionate. I adapt every lesson to my students’ needs, and I make learning Italian practical, enjoyable and connected to real life.
