About Dawid

As a musician and composer, I have a strong passion for teaching, performing, and creating music. I enjoy taking on challenges and finding solutions patiently. I value meaningful relationships and am always open to listening and considering others' ideas. I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, so during school, I found joy in helping my classmates, and they found my support valuable. I'm a responsible young adult, a quick learner, and can easily adapt to new situations. When assisting others, I prioritise setting realistic yet challenging goals to amplify their development. I motivate them to persist even in the face of mistakes, emphasising that giving their best effort is key to making progress - furthermore helping develop their confidence in their own skills. When teaching I also focus on learning to play under pressure and thinking quickly, as this is key to performing in live situations and further developing musical ability. I am also a Jehovah's Witness and am actively engaged in conducting voluntary Bible studies.

Throughout my final year of education, I dedicated significant time to assisting teachers in both music and maths classrooms. I supported students of various skill levels and abilities, and my responsibilities extended to creating educational aids like PowerPoint presentations to support their learning. I have been able to support students all the way from not playing an instrument at all, to playing it live at school events. In some situations, my teachers even let me direct lessons to give me more practice and experience in teaching. I have also had the opportunity to play in various orchestras, bands, and ensembles, performing at various events and venues. Additionally, I took charge of the preparation and technical aspects for these events. These various experiences further developed my passion for music, which led me to start teaching drums, music theory, and composition theory.

About the lesson

Even though it may not always seem like it, percussive elements and instruments play a vital role in enhancing the vitality and dynamism of a piece of music. They bring a unique and captivating element to the overall composition, adding depth and texture that can't be achieved with other instruments alone.

When it comes to learning percussion, I offer comprehensive online lessons that cover everything from the very basics, such as how to hold a drumstick correctly, to more advanced techniques that will help you develop your musical skills to a higher level. With my guidance, you can learn the art of improvisation and how to effectively interact with the music, allowing you to create your own unique rhythms and beats that perfectly complement the melody.

Furthermore, my lessons will equip you with the necessary skills to confidently perform in live situations. Whether it's playing in a band, participating in jam sessions, or performing on stage, I will provide you with the knowledge and techniques to excel in any musical setting. You will learn how to maintain a steady tempo, synchronise with other musicians, and deliver captivating drum solos.

Drumming is undeniably one of the most enjoyable instruments to learn. While it may require patience and dedication at times, the rewards are truly worth it. As you progress in your drumming journey, you will experience the joy of creating infectious rhythms, the thrill of performing in front of an audience, and the satisfaction of mastering a versatile and expressive instrument. These lessons are for everyone, no matter the previous experience!
