About Drew
I'm an LA-based (18 years) songwriter who has been writing professionally for around 15 years. I've signed multiple publishing deals, I've had platinum songs in movies, TV and on the radio, and 2 of the songs that I co-wrote have been nominated for Grammys. I love songwriting and I absolutely love helping others through the writing process. I catch myself trying to teach younger co-writers and artists and I thought this could be a good outlet for that instinct.

I'm a firm believer that the best way to learn is by doing, so in this class we will be writing a song.
Typical class will be as follows. Together we will:
- identify the type of song you want to write
- listen to examples and examine what makes those songs work
- finally we will begin writing a song
- I will guide you through the process using all of the tricks and techniques I've learned from writing songs professionally for 15 years (harmony, melody and lyrics).
Not every songwriter uses the same process, but I can help you to find what works best for you.
