About Zsuzsanna

Hi, I’m Zsuzsi, a native Hungarian speaker with an international background and a passion for languages.

Having lived in different countries and learnt languages myself, I know both the excitement and the challenges of communicating in a new language. I speak five languages and can teach Hungarian in English, German or Portuguese, which also helps me understand the different difficulties learners may encounter depending on their native language.

I have previous experience teaching English and Portuguese and currently teach Hungarian to international students from different countries and at different levels. My professional background is in international marketing, so working and communicating with people from different cultures has been part of my everyday life for many years.

As a teacher, I’m patient, encouraging and approachable. I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and speaking from the very beginning. For me, learning a language should be structured and effective, but it should also be something you genuinely enjoy.

I’d be happy to help you make Hungarian feel a little less intimidating and a lot more usable!

About the lesson

My lessons are practical, personalised and focused on helping you actually use Hungarian with confidence. Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some knowledge, I adapt each lesson to your level, goals and learning style.

We work on speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar in context, with plenty of opportunities to practise forming your own sentences. I like to explain grammar clearly and simply, without making it more complicated than it needs to be. Depending on your goals, we can follow a structured course and textbook or focus more on conversation and practical Hungarian for everyday life.

I currently teach Hungarian to international students with a variety of backgrounds and goals, from complete beginners to more advanced learners. I also have previous experience teaching English and Portuguese and I know what it's like to learn them myself, as I speak five languages.

Lessons are online and usually last 50–60 minutes. I can teach and explain Hungarian in English, German or Portuguese, so you don't need to worry if you're starting from zero.

Whether you're learning Hungarian to live or work in Hungary, communicate with family or a partner, prepare for citizenship, or simply because you love the language, we'll build the lessons around what you want to achieve.
