About Yamini

I have a deep passion for the Korean language and culture, which inspired me to begin my own self-learning journey. Through consistent study and practice, I successfully cleared TOPIK I and later achieved TOPIK II Level 3 with high scores.

As a self-taught Korean learner, I understand the challenges beginners often face—from learning Hangeul and pronunciation to understanding grammar and remembering vocabulary. My own learning experience has helped me develop practical strategies and study methods that I now use to make Korean easier and more approachable for my students.

I believe learning a new language should be structured, engaging, and enjoyable. My goal is to guide you step by step, help you build a strong foundation, and make your Korean learning journey both rewarding and fun!

My Teaching Approach for Korean Language — Complete Beginner to TOPIK I

안녕하세요! Whether you are starting Korean from scratch or preparing for TOPIK I, my classes are designed to help you build a strong foundation step by step.

How I Teach

I follow a structured and beginner-friendly approach, starting with Hangeul (the Korean alphabet), syllable formation, writing, sounds, and pronunciation. Once your foundation is strong, we gradually move on to essential vocabulary, sentence formation, and beginner grammar patterns.

My focus is not just on memorising Korean, but on helping you understand how the language works so that you can confidently read, write, and form basic Korean sentences on your own.

What to Expect in Each Class

Each lesson includes a quick recap of previously learned concepts, followed by a new topic such as Hangeul, vocabulary, grammar, or sentence patterns. You will practise through reading, writing, listening, and interactive exercises.

For TOPIK I learners, I also include exam-focused practice and relevant past TOPIK-style questions to help you become familiar with the test format.

What You Will Receive

I provide comprehensive lesson notes, curated vocabulary lists, practice exercises, and regular revision activities to strengthen your understanding. Lessons include relatable examples and practical Korean usage to make learning engaging and easier to remember.

You will receive targeted guidance based on your progress, with regular practice to help you build confidence and improve steadily.
