About Chidera

I'm a passionate and dedicated Mandarin Chinese tutor who believes that learning a new language should be exciting, engaging, and rewarding.

I teach Mandarin to both children and adults, helping learners develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and understanding Chinese. My lessons are designed to make even the most challenging aspects of Mandarin, including tones, pronunciation, Pinyin, and Chinese characters, easier to understand.

About the lesson

My Mandarin lessons are interactive, well-structured, and tailored to each student's age, learning level, interests, and individual goals.

For younger learners, I incorporate colourful visual materials, educational games, stories, songs, and engaging activities that make learning Mandarin feel natural and enjoyable.

For teenagers and adults, I focus on practical communication, vocabulary development, pronunciation, listening comprehension, reading, Chinese characters, and grammar. I also provide structured support for students preparing for HSK examinations.

Each lesson includes clear explanations, guided practice, opportunities for conversation, and activities that reinforce what has been learned. I place particular emphasis on helping students pronounce Mandarin tones correctly and develop confidence when speaking.

My teaching approach encourages active participation rather than simply memorising words. I regularly review previous lessons, assess progress, and adapt my methods to suit each learner's needs.
