About Jen

Hi! I'm Jen, and I'm from Singapore! Growing up in a bilingual environment, I've always appreciated the beauty of the Chinese language and the way it connects people from different backgrounds. Beyond learning Chinese, I've developed a genuine love for Chinese culture and enjoy keeping up with trends, TV shows, and everyday life in China.

As someone who is naturally curious, I love exploring new things, exchanging ideas, and having conversations with people. This is one of the reasons why I want to teach Mandarin! I hope to share my enthusiasm for the language and show my students that learning Chinese can be fun, meaningful, and much more than just memorizing vocabulary or studying textbooks.

I believe that everyone learns differently, and I want my students to feel comfortable being themselves, asking questions, making mistakes, and learning at their own pace. My goal is to make learning Mandarin an enjoyable experience while helping students gain confidence in using the language in everyday life.

I'm excited to meet students from different backgrounds, hear your stories, learn about your interests, and explore the Chinese language and culture together. Let's make learning Chinese a fun journey!

My lessons focus on making Mandarin Chinese fun, practical, and relevant to everyday life! As a curious person who loves exploring Chinese culture, keeping up with trends and TV shows in China, and discovering new things, I enjoy having conversations and sharing ideas. If you love to chat, share stories, or learn through interesting discussions, I'd love to hear from you!

I will adapt our lessons to your learning goals, interests, and current proficiency level. Whether you are a beginner learning basic Mandarin, someone hoping to improve your conversational fluency, or a learner who wants to understand Chinese culture better, we can work together at a pace that suits you.

My goal is to create a comfortable and encouraging environment where you can practice speaking without fear of making mistakes. Let's learn Mandarin naturally through everyday conversations, useful expressions, and topics that interest you. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your Chinese-learning journey!
