I am a composer and producer who has been working in the field for over 15 years. I hold a master's degree in music from NYU and am an active drummer, pianist, guitarist, and singer as well. I teach music theory, ear training, and music history as well.

As an NYU graduate in Music Composition with over a decade of teaching experience, I focus on making music theory practical, engaging, and immediately useful. We'll explore harmony, scales, chord progressions, ear training, analysis, improvisation, and composition at a pace that's right for you. My goal isn't just to help you memorize concepts, it's to help you truly understand music so you can perform, create, and listen with greater confidence. Whether you're a complete beginner or an advanced musician, lessons are personalized to help you grow.

Brian was a wonderful teacher! He was very polite and patient. I could tell he was passionate about the subject as he often shared different music for me to listen to in addition the assignment he gave me. I'm a slow learner but he always found a way for me to understand the content.
