About Judy
Judy came to Southern California in 2017 and joined Weplay Studio and Natalia Huang Studio to begin her journey as a Piano instructor. With her five-plus years of teaching experience and friendly, humble, positive attitude, and cheerful smile, Judy has taught hundreds of students ranging from 4 years old to 67 years old; both private students and Studio students. Because of her knowledge of Music Theory and Piano Skills, she knows how to craft and tailor her student needs to improve music theory skills and master their piano technique. Hence, she has accumulated an impressive retention rate of over 95% and many of her students love to learn from her.

My teaching philosophy focuses on building the foundation of a student’s musical ability in different dimensions. I believe that having a good foundation will allow one to play varied kinds of music, and make it easier for them to perceive and appreciate music. Therefore, I always combine technical finger exercises, music theory, and different genres of piano repertoire in lessons for my students to not only learn the surface to play the notes but also have more understanding of the content to interpret the art of music.
