About Elise
I am a trained folk musician from the Norwegian Academy of Music. I play both flutes and fiddle and in recent years I have traveled the world with my inter-Scandinavian trio. I have played recorder since primary school and over the years I have picked up a few different other flutes as well, such as the Irish tin whistle.

The most important thing about playing music is that it should be fun! The teaching is largely set up according to the students' own wishes and it varies between note learning, ear training and technique. My background is mainly in folk music, but I have also played some classical growing up, and elements of this will appear in the teaching as well. In recent years, I have mostly taught adult beginners. This is very exciting as adults have a much steeper learning curve than children and quickly master playing nice melodies they can enjoy. It is never too late to learn a new instrument.
