About Marina
Hello! My name is Marina, and I am a native Japanese speaker from Japan currently living in the United States. I have experience working internationally in hospitality, customer service, sales, and translation, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to connect with people from many different backgrounds.
What makes me different from other tutors is my supportive and personalized teaching style. I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on creating lessons that match each student’s goals, pace, and interests.
Because I have experience living both in Japan and abroad, I also understand the cultural differences and common challenges that English speakers face when learning Japanese. I can explain difficult concepts clearly in English while helping students naturally build confidence in speaking Japanese.
My lessons are friendly, patient, and encouraging. I want students to feel relaxed and comfortable making mistakes because that is one of the most important parts of learning a language successfully.
