About Leslie
I am a native Spanish speaker from Guatemala, and I am passionate about helping students feel confident and comfortable speaking Spanish. I can teach Guatemalan Spanish, including expressions and vocabulary commonly used in Guatemala, as well as neutral Spanish that is clear and easy to understand for students from all backgrounds.
I am patient, friendly, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where you can practice without fear of making mistakes. I believe that making mistakes is an important part of learning, and I will guide you through corrections in a supportive way.
Whether you are a complete beginner or already have experience with Spanish, I will adapt our lessons to your level and goals. My priority is to help you communicate naturally, improve your pronunciation, and build confidence through conversation and practice.

My goal is to make learning Spanish comfortable, practical, and enjoyable. As a native Spanish speaker, I focus on helping students develop real-life communication skills while building confidence in speaking.
My lessons are conversational and interactive. We will practice speaking through everyday situations, questions, dialogues, and topics that interest you. I will gently correct grammar and pronunciation along the way and explain mistakes so you understand how to improve rather than simply memorizing corrections.
A typical lesson may begin with a short conversation or review of what we learned previously. We will then introduce new vocabulary or expressions and practice using them in conversation. When a word is difficult to pronounce, I will break it down into smaller sounds and syllables so you can understand exactly how to say it. We will finish by practicing what you learned so you feel comfortable using it on your own.
What sets me apart is my patience and personalized approach. I adapt each lesson to your level, goals, interests, and learning style. Whether you want to improve your conversation skills, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, or simply feel more confident speaking Spanish, I will work with you at your own pace.
