About Nicholas
Panch had to interact with audience members. I never broke chaarcter or blew up at them when they didn't do what we wanted. In fact, one member went up to spell and made the show about himself. The audience laughed and cheered when I rang him out of the round mid word. I never broke character, and could handle the tough situations. I've also done entire improvised scenes, albeit, for s theater class and not a performance. Regardless, I can keep a scene moving smoothly.

In the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, there was a mistake. The table that was supposed to collapse for a different part of the show collapsed when I got headslammed and dragged off stage during a climactic scene. I didn't panic. I came on, in tears (as character) because of my pain and embarrassment.As I cried, I ashamedly picked up the table, the crowd chuckled and laughed at my expense. Mistakes will happen, and knowing how to improvise can turn these mistakes into unforgettable moments in the show. The backstage and stage director, as well as their wives and fellow actors constantly revered me for my ability to keep the show going. That was all of Panch's character, actually.
