About Anh

I am a Vietnamese native speaker who has been living in the US for more than 10 years. I have experience teaching Vietnamese to English and French speaking students. I speak Vietnamese and English fluently, and I can speak French at A2 level.

About the lesson

Learn Vietnamese from a Vietnamese teacher. The lesson will focus on pronunciation and speaking skills. After a month of learning , you can form basic conservations with Vietnamese talking about yourself, your family, and your life. After a few months (3-5 months), you should feel confident traveling to Vietnam and talk to Vietnamese about many topics!

Perfect! Had a great first session with Anh and am excited to work with him moving forward! He wanted to ensure he understood my level of experience, interests and expectations, before sharing his experience and desire to help others learn the language.

He walked me through greetings and manners (e.g. "please", "thank you", "sorry") and also the intonations and additional letters in the Vietnamese alphabet, highlighting their differences in tone/sound which will help me improve reading and pronunciation.

He kindly offered to answer any questions I have in between our sessions and overall seems like an excellent teacher.

Nicole is a great student who is very serious about learning Vietnamese as a way to reconnect with her roots. It is easy and comfortable to discuss goals and expectations with her. She is currently at the beginner level and wants to better understand Vietnamese grammar, intonation, and how the language is used in real life. I am excited to help her move toward her Vietnamese learning goals.

Perfect! Anh was my two boys’ Vietnamese tutor and he was honestly amazing. Super patient and really good with kids. He spent the whole hour teaching both of my sons together and made it fun for them. He introduced himself first, got to know us a little and then started with simple things like greetings, favorite colors, animals and days of the week.

It was my boys’ first time ever doing a virtual class, so they were a bit wild and goofy but Anh handled it with so much patience and kindness. You can tell he truly enjoys teaching kids. He’s friendly, cheerful, and just has a great attitude. I really enjoyed the whole experience and appreciate how much effort he put in.
