About Jonathan

My name is Jonathan Zipperle, I am 22 years old, and I am currently studying violin at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where I will complete my Bachelor's degree in June 2026. Previously, I completed my pre-college studies at the Zurich Conservatory of Music (MKZ) and before that at the Basel Academy of Music. The violin has been a part of my life since childhood, and my studies have allowed me to gain invaluable musical experience. I am eager to share this knowledge and my passion for music. Teaching is a great responsibility for me. It is important to me to provide individual guidance to each student, nurture their strengths, and support them on their personal musical journey.

About the lesson

My lessons are individually tailored to each student’s goals, age, and level. It is important to me not only to teach technique, but also to share the joy of music and playing the violin. For beginners, I enjoy using the Suzuki method, as I grew up with it myself and have many years of experience with its approach. It offers children in particular a natural and motivating introduction to learning the violin. With more advanced students, I focus on building a strong technical foundation. I work with technical exercises and etudes such as Galamian, Kreutzer, and other important methods to develop technique, intonation, tone quality, and musical expression. A typical lesson includes warm-up exercises, technical work, and repertoire study. I aim to create lessons that are structured, motivating, and adapted to each individual student. Through my studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg and my experience performing at festivals and concerts across Europe, I can also share practical insights into the life of a professional musician. My lessons are open to children, teenagers, and adults – from beginners to advanced players. I am also happy to help with preparation for competitions, pre-college entrance exams, or university music studies.
