About LINGYU
Dear Tuitee,
My name is Felix. I am a newly qualified teacher in Mandarin Chinese. I am of Chinese extract, and I moved to the UK from China when I was 15. I am completely fluent in both Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese.
So far, I have worked in several schools as a Chinese Mandarin teacher. From my experience, I have learnt that the current curriculum sometimes lack accessibility as well as the differentiation to different individuals’ needs and interest. My goal is to make your learning enjoyable, meaningful and relevant in real life situations. I utilise contextualised Language learning approaches combined with intercultural content in my lessons. By doing so, we are able to grasp the intricate meanings and cultural messages behind languages and ultimately, become socially and linguistically attuned the to Chinese community.
