About Rónán
I have a passion for Irish. I didn't always have it in school, but when I started to focus on Irish more and more, I realised that the language isn't as bad as it is in school. That's why I want to teach. I want to show people that Irish isn't just learning off essays and quotes, that there's actual meaning to the language and that there are communities that speak the language everywhere. I want to help people learn Irish, if they're willing, through more fun approaches and less learning things off-by-heart.
I am on the committee of the Irish Society in Trinity College and try to encourage the use of Irish daily! I also worked in the Ring Gaeltacht (County Waterford) for summer 2023 aiming to document and preserve the Irish language and her dialects.

If you are studying for the Leaving Cert, either fifth or sixth year, and you want some extra help, then perhaps I can help you. I can also help with oral Irish (tips and tricks to excel) and the listening. However, if you need help with the general written paper or even just extra Irish help in general, we can work out something that suits your level.
