About Vanessa
I’m a qualified Paralegal and I’m passionate about education. For the past 3 years I have been tutoring English to learners aged 6-14 at an aftercare center. I enjoy creating patient, engaging, and supportive lessons that help students build confidence in speaking, reading, and writing. In my free time I love reading and learning about different cultures. I have 3 years of teaching experience tutoring English to learners aged 6-14 at an aftercare center. I hold a Paralegal qualification and I am currently working on my TEFL certificate.
My teaching methodology is student-centered and communicative. I use interactive activities, storytelling, phonics, and role-play to make lessons engaging and practical. I focus on building confidence in speaking, reading, writing, and listening, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s pace and learning style.
My subject expertise is foundational English including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational fluency. I create a supportive classroom where mistakes are encouraged as part of learning, so students feel motivated and make steady progress
