About Daniel

Music, songwriting and performance is my life. I started when I was 8 and never stopped. The guitar lessons and piano lessons I received at an early age, empowered me with the confidence to learn music consistently throughout my life.

After thousands of hours of practice, writing and performing, I'm ready to share what I've learned with you! From the fundamentals of making chords and practicing the basics to the intricacies of songwriting, learning scales, and bringing this all to life on stage -- That's what I'm offering!

I enjoy writing songs that people remember the words to the first time they hear it. I enjoy making people dance and smile. I use music as a tool for personal therapy, self reflection, creative expression and ultimately to release the stress of daily life. If this speaks to you, lets work together!

I enjoy working with teenagers, as music is a gift that will change their lives forever. I love working with adults because its never too late to pick up an instrument and learn to play!

I've been trained in classical and jazz music since 8 years old. Improvisation, both vocally and instrumentally are fundamental to my style of music. I've been performing original and cover music for 20+ years. I'm 34 years old and have been building a following in the West for the last 4 years. I've played hundreds of paid gigs both playing original and cover music and I've learned from some incredible blues musicians over the last few years, some invaluable tools to becoming a better guitar player.

About the lesson

Let's start by learning about you. What do you know? What do you want to know/do? Who are your favorite musicians? Lets assess our strengths and weaknesses and create obtainable goals for ourselves.

Generally we will start with all of the basic major and minor chords, barre chords, and the major and minor scales. From there, and I'm a firm believer in this, we will choose some songs you love and learn how to play them.

If you feel like you are more of an intermediate player and you are looking to take your playing to the next level or your songwriting // performance, then we will assess your skills and create a path together for obtaining new goals.
