About Ryan

I am a TEFL Certified EFL Teacher, having completed my 168 Hour Level 5 TEFL Diploma with The TEFL Academy. I am currently inexperienced as an EFL teacher, however I bring over 10 years’ experience in various fields along with me as I start my journey as an EFL Teacher. I enjoy being creative and am also keen to use this creativity to create engaging lessons to inspire my students. I consider myself to be mature and lively, I have a variety of outside interests and remain committed to improving my teaching skills further and contributing to the success of my students. I am very excited to start my journey as an Online EFL Teacher.

Music is a passion of mine, I enjoy playing guitar and singing. I have been playing guitar since I was 9 years old and I started singing when I was around 10 years old in Primary school choir. Since finishing school in 2015 up until recently, I pursued a career as a singer-songwriter. Traveling has always been a dream of mine, I managed to get a taste of life abroad in 2025 when I spent some time working in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This experience increased my eagerness to travel; it is what led me to decide to pursue a career as an EFL Teacher. Throughout my school career up until my final year in college, sport was a very big interest of mine. I played Field Hockey, Football, Rugby and Cricket throughout school, as well as Swimming and Track Events. Currently, I do not play much sport, other than the occasional Local League 6-a-side Football game, or a trip around the golf course looking for a small white ball.

About the lesson

I aim to create a relaxed, safe and neutral environment where students feel welcome and accepted. I strive to provide students with engaging lessons and activities that guide them into becoming confident and capable English Speakers.

My Lessons consist of Controlled Practice Activities such as Gap Fill Activity Worksheets as well as Freer Practice Activities such as a Guided Conversation or Debate.

My Lessons are planned and tailored to meet the specific needs of each of my students. I take pride in my work and strive to provide each of my students with the knowledge and tools required to become confident and capable English Speakers.
