About Henry
Hi, I'm Henry, A-Level and GCSE Economics Tutor.
I'm keen to show students what it actually takes to get top grades. I turned a C at AS-Level Economics into an A* the following summer, proving that there's always time to turn things around.
Since finishing my A-Levels in 2024, I've worked in government policy for a Think Tank, in the finance department of a multinational company, and at an investment management firm, all of which I still draw on constantly when teaching. I believe it was genuinely immersing myself in the subject during Year 13, not just memorising content, that got me the A*, and that's the approach I'll bring to tutoring you.
I now study Finance and Investment Banking at the University of Exeter, aiming to work in finance before transitioning into policy and international economic development.

My focus is building genuine interest in Economics, so you can recall high-level application quickly and confidently, while making sure the fundamentals are never a stumbling block come exam season. I do this by showing how classroom theory shows up in real policy decisions and business news, because economics is far more engaging once you see it playing out in practice. I'll point you toward news articles and historical events you can use as ready-made evidence, reworked into the kind of high-level chains of reasoning that pick up application marks in exams.
