About Abi
I’m Abi. I’m 17 years old and an aspiring English teacher. I have a passion and love for reading and writing that I want to be able to share and nurture within others. I want to be able to help students not only thrive while studying English, but also learn to love it. Communication is the backbone of all relationships and opportunities. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn in a positive, comfortable environment.

I have experience as a tutor, outside and inside school. I have completed work experience as a teaching assistant at a primary school. This combination of experience has lead to incredibly strong communication skills and an in-depth understanding of the importance of positive reinforcement. I have studied teacher talk and how to effectively utilise a position of power within the context of the classroom and as a teacher. I am able to personalise lessons to each student to ensure effective learning that will accompany what is learnt within the classroom.
