About Tadiwa
Hello! I am currently studying English Language and Literature at A-Level and am predicted an A. I love reading, writing, and analysing language, and I truly enjoy helping students develop their confidence and skills in English. I understand that English can be challenging as it once was for me, but with the right guidance, it becomes much more accessible, rewarding and can even become a fun experience! My studies cover a broad range of texts, including A Streetcar Named Desire, Things Fall Apart, Rapture, and for my coursework, I am comparing The Alchemist with The Examined Life. This diverse experience has equipped me with a strong understanding of both literary and non-fiction analysis, which I bring to my tutoring. I approach tutoring with patience, clarity, and encouragement, aiming to create a supportive environment where students feel motivated and proud of their progress.

I take a calm, supportive approach tailored to each student’s needs. My lessons focus on building confidence, clarity, and strong exam technique through active discussion, essay planning, language analysis, and examiner-focused strategies. I use model responses, annotated texts, and real past paper questions to help students understand how to hit top mark bands in both English Language and Literature. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, with the option for shorter or longer sessions depending on your goals. Each session is structured with a clear focus — whether that’s improving essay structure, exploring a set text, preparing for unseen passages, or tackling coursework. I’m currently studying English Language and Literature at A-Level and am predicted an A*. I’ve worked with a range of texts including A Streetcar Named Desire, Rapture, Things Fall Apart, and for my comparative coursework, I explored The Alchemist alongside The Examined Life — giving me a strong understanding of both literary and non-fiction analysis. My lessons are ideal for KS3 and GCSE students (ages 11–16) who want personalised support — whether you’re aiming for a pass or striving for a 7, 8, or 9. I also work well with students who are shy, overwhelmed, or unsure how to begin improving. My aim is always to make English feel more manageable and even enjoyable.
