About Nix
I achieved all grade 8s and 9s at GCSE (an 8 in Edexcel Maths, and a 9 in Edexcel German) and am currently studying at one of the top 20 grammar schools in England. My A-Level choices are Economics, Psychology, German and Maths, and my predicted grades are A*A*AB respectively. However, I previously struggled with my academics due to the fact that I had no idea about which learning technique was suitable for me as an individual, so I ultimately just copied what I saw others doing online - reading out of a textbook for hours - which definitely proved to be unsuccessful. Once I found out which techniques worked for me, studying became a lot more efficient and - in a way - enjoyable! Hence, I hope that through my tutoring I am able to not only convey content, but also help students (maybe like you!) find out which learning techniques allow you to perform to your full potential in exams.

I intend on adjusting my teaching to suit the needs of each individual student, and have had some experience with tutoring at a centre - this aided in both my patience and spontaneity. I offer 1-hour sessions, and these sessions are aimed at GCSE students looking to boost their grades, or simply just individuals (under 18) who are fascinated with the German language! We will go over reading/writing/speaking/listening aspects of the specification, with each session being tailored to whichever one you would like to focus on (please make me aware of this at least 48h in advance of the arranged session so that I can plan accordingly). During our sessions, I hope to create a comfortable learning environment which not only cultivates knowledge, but also builds interest in the language. I am a strong advocate of making learning interactive, as opposed to it mirroring reading out of a textbook!

Details
1:1 session (online only). I will need payment at least 12 hours before the arranged session time! In terms of materials, all you need is a device to attend the online session, the Zoom app, and pen/paper to write. After a session request, I may take up to 24 hours to get back to you due to my schedule.
