About Quentin

I am 28 years old, graduated from ESSEC Business School (Fr) and work as an actuary. I discovered the field of commodities trading before settling in the insurance sector and my professional experiences made me evolve in France, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Belgium.

The search for meaning and balance between body and mind led me to document myself seriously on a number of disciplines, from Stoic philosophy to public speaking, productivity at work and mindfulness. This quest towards more versatility and serenity led me to engage in a number of life-changing initiatives, allowing me now to combine an intensive sport training, artistic workshops and a demanding job.

I value above all the positive energy of other people and their point of view. I stand by a balanced lifestyle which doesn't neglect any area and embeds progressive ways to surpass oneself.

Thanks to the approach described in the "Methodology" section, I:
-went to the 2nd most selective business school in France
-worked in several countries and in different kind of companies, including a Big 4
-went from 0 swimming knowledge to more than 1km of continuous crawl
-reduced my 10 km running time by 10 minutes
-went from a complete fear of handstand to a good 1 minute hold
-engaged in several activities out of my comfort zone, from gymnastics to improvisation theatre, and made it my new comfort zone

The objective of the coaching is to help you:
-Evaluate your overall situation
-Identify the potential imbalances that harm your development and the areas that need to be worked on
-Understand which mindset and tools will allow you to act effectively on these points

My approach is tailor-made and based on the key concepts of the best self help books, which I synthesized and tested through my personal experience. Interested in the subject for many years, I noticed that it was difficult to navigate among the numerous books of this nature. I also noticed that it was difficult to move from concept to action, and that one could quickly fall into the pitfall of unfulfilled resolutions.

I am thus convinced that the help of a "practitioner" of personal development can help some individuals get started, rethink the direction they take or improve the impact of their initiatives in real life. This is what I propose to do, with humility, and keeping in mind that each individual is unique and already has the keys to his "success".

My coaching combines 3 axes:

1) Lifestyle design
This the holistic view, the big picture.
-Evaluate the relative importance of the spheres of the body, mind, social relations and work in your situation, and the level of satisfaction associated with each.
-Diagnosis of the use of your 3 key resources that are time, energy and money.
-Projection of your ideal mix and transcription into a concrete action plan that can be tracked.

2) Mindset
This is the way of treating yourself and others that will foster the success of your life changes.
-Self confidence
-Overcoming fear, leaving one's comfort zone
-Accepting others, ease in public
-Opening to the outside
-Combativeness, discipline and long-term motivation

3) The toolbox
This is the set of tips and tricks that will serve you on a daily basis to:
-Discipline your attention
-Manage your time
-Use your energy wisely
-Keep your promises
-Be aware of your progress

I can help you set up a long-term program or coach you for a short term objective.

Examples of long-term challenges : I want to replace my bad habits with better ones, I want to prepare for a strategic professional move, I want to engage in a wider ranger of activities, I want to try a new lifestyle and measure if it makes me happier, etc.

Examples of specific objectives : I want to prepare for a job interview, I want to get rid of my fear of public speaking/talking to strangers, I need a productivity boost at work, I have 6 months to run 10 kms under 45 minutes, etc.

Depending on the situation, the coaching session may include:
-presentation of the key concepts at stake in your case, with references for further reading
-practical exercises
-follow-up of your progress and design of your "homework" challenges for the next session
