About Robert
What sets me apart is that I am essentially self-taught, immersing myself in self-study for 33 years, after setting the foundation with 4 years of study in French in high school and college. I love the language. I believe that I can inspire confidence that anyone can master a new language if they have a strong desire to learn, and will practice consistently and hard. I know because I have done it myself, basically on my own!
I have been repeatedly recognized by native speakers as being an outstanding French speaker. A well-travelled, French Canadian computer programmer said that my French was THE BEST HE EVER HEARD IN AN AMERICAN. Following is a quote from Victor D., a native of France and an employee of Google.

I start building from the ground up, with pronunciation of the alphabet...then the meaning and pronunciation of many French words divided into numerous, simple categories, such as words for people, places and things...then putting words together into phrases and sentences for basic conversation. I ignore boring, dry, impractical grammar and linguistic theory. My lessons are for raw beginners only.
