About Youri
Hey, my name is Youri, I am from Paris. I am a dancer since my early age. I have learned mainly on my own but also with some teachers in New York and Paris to help me to build a strong foundation in this art. As I learned on my own most of the time, I have discovered some keys that you don't necessarily learn in formal class at school. How to think while your dance, how does the brain works during movements, the connexion between the body, the mind and the music and so on.
In my career of dancer/choreographer, I worked with singers like The Black Eyed Pease, brand like Tiffany&Co, in musical.
I have worked and taught all around the world : Paris, London, New York, Shanghai, Switzerland, Belgium

About the lesson

My method is first based on technique to make you feel your body with all your muscles and bones.
After a good knowledge of your body, we are going to work on musicality with many different rhythm and styles.
the third step, we start trying to figure out how the brain works during the experience of dancing and how much the brain influences you in many different ways.
My "super objective" is to make you learn on yourself inside (brain and instinct) and outside (your body). Technique is a good tool to learn how to move your body but this is not the most important to point to make you a "dancer" and feeling good while you are dancing. My job here is to start with yourself to not "create" but to find your way of moving and living through the music truthfully in a natural way.
