About Rachele
Hi :) my name is Rachele. I am Italian and moved to London in 2016, I started teaching Italian privately to adults since then.
In 2018 I completed my training as an Italian teacher at IH.
I have a background as a costume designer, graduating at Accademia di Costume e di Moda in Roma back in 2010 as well as UAL-LCF in 2022 (MA Costume Design for Performance).
My passion for Italian literature, theatre and art lead me to teach my beautiful first language to foreigners. As I was a passionate student back in Italy, I started again studying Italian grammar and culture once I moved to the UK.
I think that being someone who had to learn a second language myself helps me understanding better what students are struggling with when they approach a new language.

My main goal is to design bespoke lesson for each student in order to achieve the best results, according to the student level and best way to learn. I can plan grammar based lessons as well as more relaxing ones with games and activities. Any student responds to different methods, whether is more conversational, reading or picture based. In addition, if you are particularly interested in some specific topics, such as Italian art, culture, fashion, theatre and literature, I have a strong background as a scholar so do not hesitate to contact me.
Usually, I suggest a minimum of 2 hrs per session, at least once a week but the more you practice the better and quicker you would see results. I also give some homework and exercise to do on your free time to help memorizing the main topics of any session.
I have been teaching Italian to adults since I moved to London in 2016. In 2018 I completed training as Italian teacher at IH, having classes with different levels, and I got CLTA certificate with merit.
